Angry Problem with red/clear tail lights anyone?

I just got my set today and was royally pissed off when I found that the bulb holders do not fit into the lights. You know how they have three extra pieces of plastic (don't really know what to call them) that fit into the holes? Well on these red/clear lights, they don't align.

In other words the plastic pieces that go in and lock into place cannot go in, therefore the bulb cannot stay in place. I waited all this time for crap.

They're made by Depo and I got them off ebay. I know a few of you have them so did you have problems? Where did you buy them from? Also, did yours seem a little small? Where there gaps?

I got Depos for my 4.5. i thought the same thing when i tried to install them. the odd thing is, as long as the diameters ofr the bulbs sockets fit, u can make them fit in there. thats what i did. It took me a while, but u keep spinning them around and gettin one tab in at a time, theyll fit. worse comes to worse, cut the lil tabs and tape the bulb holder to the casing.

The tab "slots" on the red/clear tails are in a differnt orientation. Edmo83 is right, you just have to spin the gen3.5 bulb sockets in the hole until the tabs seat into the slots of the gen3 red/clear tails. I know first hand, I've got red/clears on my gen3.5(w/gen3 center panel), and thats what I had to do for them to fit. You don't have to cut off the tabs or tape them in. It just takes a little patience to find the slots. Don't worry, they'll fit.

maybe it's just me but those clear/red tails with the center piece makes the 3.5gen look 10 years older. If it was me i would just keep the stock tails and tint it black or red it out!

Thumbs up Fixed.

After trying off and on for a whole day I finally gave up and asked my dad to sand the holes for me. We both agreed that not only were the slots for the tabs out of place, but the actual holes were too small. Even though the problem is solved I much rather would have had the lights made right in the first place!

Let me add that they are more shiny and better looking in person than in any pictures I've seen them in. I'm glad I got them. Maybe I'll do pictures.
