How did you remove the 194 bulbs!?

Wow so I was trying to change my dash bulb colour today and I tried to take out the bulb and it was like SUPER glued on or something. I accidently break the bulb to take it out. I tried everything to take it out.. even force which lead to breaking the bulb.... is there suppose to be any way to take these bulbs out without breaking them???

i thought i heard someone say that us models are soldered in but I am not really sure about that personally.

my 98 is a japan model and the bulbs just came right out of the sockets when i changed them but it sounds like yours might be soldered in

Use a SMALL screwdriver and break the 2 solder connections on each bulb socket.

um so which solution is best? I want to change the other 4 bulbs out of 5.. but I can't do much about it right now cuz I don't want to break
them

I do see 2 little small metal piece beside the bulb but i didn't want to force it out cuz it may have been important..

You probably should PAY somebody to do this since you can't.

Well I could do it.. by breaking the bulb.. I hope I didnt break the whole piece cuz right now Im using reverse gauges... and have the white bulb which I bought to replace the green... turn out to be the same colour as the green just a pinch brighter...

btw whats that plastic wrap around the bulb for?? is it to protect it from intense heat or just to reduce the brightness of the bulb???

the green sleeves over the bulbs are just there to provide the greenish hue ... if you remove them, you will get white light from the LEDs

so if thats your goal, you dont need to remove the LED's and replace them with white ones
