I'm thinking of selling my 93 Camry LE V6 @80k miles
I found a nice ass 99 Lexus es300 @ 98k miles that I fell in love with and I'm thinking of buying it, which means that I will have too sell my baby that I've had for almost 3 years. Blue book on my camry is about $4500 excellent and $4200 for good condition. Do you guys think that I will be able to sell it for no less than $4k? I hate to get rid of it but I like the lexus and I need a change too. Camry is in excellent condition in my opinion, no issues, leaks at all.
Here are some pics. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.
BTW pics were taken about 1.5 month ago and I'm the 2nd owner.
It's clean, it has low mileage, but it's still a fifteen year old car. Let's say you buy this car for $5,000 and get t-boned the next day, how much do you think the insurance company will say it's worth? Also, I see ads all the time for new '08 LE's for less than $20,000.
That being said, it is a nice looking car, hopefully you find somebody willing to pay what you feel it is worth.

That is true, but we're talking about a clean Toyota with low miles.
He can get 5 grand, and there's zero doubt in my mind. 5 grand would be an INCREDIBLY fair price and I would bet he would get at least 5 offers within a week.
yeah you could 5 grand easy with that.. i had my up on cragislist and put it for 5 grand with 90k (at the time) and some one was willing to buy it.. but i was an asshole and was messing around, i was trying to figure out how to use cragslist. =D

I sold mine for 3k a few months ago and it was in great shape interior-wise and had a clean exterior, but it was only a 4 cylinder DX model (only pwr windows and door locks), so I would tend to think you could ask for slightly higher than 5 grand and get close to 5 if not your asking price.

$5k no questions asked. These are within a couple hundred miles of me. One odd lowball though:
1992 Toyota Camry XLE V6
Price $6,395
Mileage 84,453
1993 Toyota Camry LE V6
Price $5,995
Mileage 95,723
1993 Toyota Camry LE V6
Price $2,900
Mileage 92,800
1993 Toyota Camry XLE V6
Price $5,938
Mileage 91,597
Maybe the 4 high ones were at dealers and the low ball was a private seller?
Edmunds.com and KBB.com quoted me a lower prices for that car. When I ran it, $5k was the high end at dealer retail. I'm not saying you can't get $5k for it. It would be worth every bit of that IMO, but you may need a true Gen3 lover to get that price.
idk dude- is the es300 really a "must" ? - how much more do you have to pay? because IMHO; that camry will be something that can work for you for the next 5-10 years the way its lookin'. And i see no reason(s) why to ditch it. How old are you? maybe if its not too far off- hold on to this and get that all time car you really really want later on.. other than that.. 4.5-4.7 is a steal for this.
Thanks guys for all your input. Yeah just like ONE_TO_hate said maybe I shouldn't get rid of it. Damn hard decision to make. I love this car but i need a change I guess and also I am getting that lexus from a friend of mine for $7k only which is a steal. I don't know. I know this car (camry) in and out and it never let me down, even on a hot ass day when I drove from San Francisco to Las Vegas with a 10 minutes break , total time of 9 hours drive!

Those sites that you referred to will have different 'values' on cars depending on location as well. Ive noticed this in the past.
