Cold air intake for 1992 camry

Hey,

I have a 1992 camry, its a 4 cyl. and I feel like doing some work on the engine as well as the body etc. I'm just getting started in the car world but I figured this seems like a good place to start. Whats a good cold air intake to buy that doesn't require much modding to fit in a '92 Camry. Also what performance increase will I see?

Thanks

ull gain very little power with either a CAI or a SRI, 5-10 is a VERY optimistic guess. it only looks and sounds good, thats pretty much it. though it prolly will give a slightly better throttle response. u can build ur own or just buy a SRI, they will be about the same price.

CJ ur car looks good on dem 20"s, never seen it from the side.

Which SRI would you recommend getting for a '92?

well i believe the SRIs and CAI give you a 5-10hp gain but by the time that power comes to the wheels its very little 1-3hp gain.

WeaponR...almost all member here have it to tried it, search the FOR sale forum someone maybe selling it, so you can save a few bucks or what bigbird said custom make one

Got proof? And how would that 5-10hp be created?

Lots of people just added a civic sri onto theirs and it ran perfectly into the fender.

well to tell you the truth, no i dont have proof Stillrunning, but after driving my car for a couple of months after getting my SRI installed, there seems to be a bit not much powoer gain...i mean you are getting better air flow so that has to be somewhat of a hp gain...

Are you? To assume that you would have to know that the stock CAI and paper filter were restricting air flow enough so that the aftermarket CAI improvement (if any) allowed the engine to breath better. Never been shown to me on a stock engine, especially the 2.2 litre. Usually the "increase in HP" is only in your head because you want to feel an increase.
