4th Generation Choking Sound on Startup

I have a 97 Camry for couple years now, without much problem. However, I noticed recently that when I start up the engine, it sometimes makes a choking sound. This continues when I drive slowly for a minute or two. The car itself doesn't seems to choke though. It seems to stop when I drive faster (+30 mph) though. Does anyone might know the cause for this?

Thanks.

Idle Air Control system .... maybe.
Controls air/fuel until the oxygen sensor heats up and closed loop control takes over.
.... There might be a rotary solenoid to look at someplace ....

Which engine?

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I'll probably try to look at the air filter to see if it's okay.
If it's still happening, then I'll probably have to go see
a mechanic, since I'm not too sure how to check other parts.
