4th Generation Leaking Tranny? Correct amount of ATF? 2001 Camry Solara; Auto V6

2001 Camry Solara; Auto V6.
I changed the tranny fluid (simple drain and fill) a while back. Unfortunately, I don't remember the exact amount of ATF - I think it was around 3.3 quarts...

This time, (drain and fill again) I only got 2.5 quarts! I'm pretty sure that is low for the V6 Camry. Comments? Worse, the rear half of the tranny pan and just beyond (diff?) are covered in gunk... I'm thinking the tranny is leaking. The stuff is too localized. Any expert opinions? When you did your drain/fill, how much drained out?

Also, I have NEVER dropped the pan and have NEVER had a flush performed.

Short term plan is to check the dip stick over the next few weeks, but the stick can be hard to read. Also plan to look at the pan and surrounding area again after wiping most of the gunk away to see if there's any new gunk.

Thank you.

Looks like the underside of our Camry, just general wet gunkiness (technical term).

Not enough to pinpoint or suggest a leak, but not dry enough.

I'd say that if anything its a slow enough leak that I wouldn't worry about it.

Your ATF is seeping, next time you service your A/T, drop the pan and replace the filter and gasket...and yeah, about 3.3 to 3.5 quarts of ATF.
