i have a 97 camry 2.2L, i did all the maintenance myself,
i changed spark plugs, 4 grommets, valve cover gasket, cam seal, oil pump seal, oil pump o ring, crankshaft seal, timing belt, ps belt and AC/Alternator belt. drain and refill ATF 5 or 6 times, differential fluid 2 times, and replaced both Axle due to clicking while turning.
now i still find wet spot on the driver side of the engine, looks like it is somewhere below the valve cover gasket, i didn't have a chance to remove the intake hose to take a clear look,
the oil is black or golden brown color, and accumulates on top the transmission differential casing, in front of the vehicle speed sensor. then dripped down to transmission oil pan.
any expert has any idea where or which seal might cause the leak?
i think there is a rear crankshaft seal in there area, but that is all the way below the leak.
i didn't change the axle oil seals, the driver side axle seal is dry, but the passenger side axle case area is wet, i can't tell if it is leak from above or it is the axle oil seal itself.
but i look from under the car, i can see oil drip from the engine block and valve cover area on the driver side right around the igintion coil
please help
