I'm posting this up to help my friend Joshua who is one of the Top Toyota guys in both knowledge AND, most of all, workmanship. I stand behind this group buy, so those of you that know me, know you have nothing to worry about, as there is not many people I will stand behind.
Hi everyone,
If there is enough interest, I will be having a set of
lightweight (11-lb) flywheels made for 5SFE engines. These can
be used on the 1990 to 1999 Celica GT, the 1991 MR2 non-Turbo,
and any
Camry 5-speed with the 5SFE engine. The flywheels will
be made with 4140 forged chromoly steel, and they are ONE-piece
units! (Much better than the two-piece that you often see, in my
opinion). The price on these flywheels will be $299 plus
shipping. If you would be interested in purchasing one of these
in the next 6 months or so, please email me right away.
If I can get 15 or more people who want to buy one then I will
go ahead and make the order.
Keep in mind that I can provide you with a new clutch kit at the
same time, and if you order a flywheel and clutch kit together,
I can give you an even better deal!
You can reach him at
drtweak@phoenixtuning.com Please send all questions to him. Free free to PM me anything as well. But as for specific questions about this flywheel, please contact Dr. Tweak.
These are just a few of the cars he's done:

That last one (Hellish Mantis) was nuts. I got to see that one in person.

*Info Added on product*
The Fidanza is a two-piece design, it is an aluminum flywheel with a steel contact area which is held to the flywheel with screws (no joke). There have been a number of reports of these coming apart, not to mention warping. With the chromoly-steel units the Doc is offering, you don't have to worry about that. Plus these ones are resurfacable to you won't ever need a new one.
First, the flywheels will be done in 6 weeks or less, not 6 months. I'm just looking to see if there are enough people who would buy one SOMETIME in the next 6 months to warrant me spending several thousand dollars to have a set made up. You do not have to buy one ahead of time, just let me know if you think you probably would buy one between now and say, April, so that I know if it's worth it to have them made.
