3rd Generation squeaky steering

Symptom: Squeaking noise comes from front of car while idling, and steering wheel is turned the the max and held there.

Diagnosis? Solution?

you're hitting the stop at the end which is making the power steering strain and skip the belt. dont turn all the steering all of the way and hit the stop at the end! its also puts a great strain on the power steering pump to not be moving when you turn the wheel. i would suggest to turn the wheel while you are moving.

^ Agreed

As for the squeeck at idle, check to see if your belt is worn out, or loose.

I'll definitely check under the hood. But the thing is, it never squeaked before, even when I turned it all the way.

On another topic, I still have an oil leak, but I still haven't figured out where it's coming from. I notice smoke coming from the distributor cap area. It's mainly coming from side of the engine bay with the air filter. Also, I've noticed spots under the engine in the center area.

Any ideas?
