3rd Generation Weird Fuel Gauge

Hey,
I recently got my O2 Sensory replaced and ive been noticing my fuel gauge being really "jumpy". When its half a tank of gas, it will randomly go to somewhere between 3/4ths of a tank to 1/2 of tank and then go back down to 1/2. It also happens when i start the car- the gauge needle will randomly go lets say from 1/2 a tank to like between 1/2 a tank and 1/4 a tank. Is this a serious issue??? I doubt its my O2 Sensor again because no check engine lights and i just changed them...

by the way its on a 1994 Toyota Camry XLE V6'

I get the same thing on my 93. I havent replaced any sensors....but the guage needle does move a LOT.

Im guessing you cant just replace the level sending unit in the tank, can you?

Yeah, it;s nothing serious to be worired about. Just the sending unit for the fuel level.

Its normal. It makes a difference when you are going up or going down hills. I think the sensor is at the front of the tank so when you go downhill, it reads more, and it reads less when going up hills.
