Confusion on shocks and struts in a 96 Camry

Okay, so I am mostly into audio so I don't know a ton on the ride itself when it comes to machanics....so....my question is this, "Why when I call one place to get a quote on replacing all four corners of my suspenion does on place say struts in front, shocks in rear and yet ANOTHER place will say struts all the way around?

If anyone can tell me why and in the right dirrection of what I really do have that would be perfect.

1996 2.2 5 speed four door.

Thanks gang.

It's struts all the way around. The ones you talk to that say shocks in the rear are wrong. If you get a considerable cheaper price from the ones that say there are shocks in the rear, Id take it to them and hold them to that price. Serves them right for not knowing or looking up the information.
