4th Generation 99 Camry Brake light on (help needed) thanks

during my last two trip, the brake light cames on for less than a minute after I started my vehicle. My first thought is that I might press my hand emergency brake, but I didn't. After I play around with my hand emergency brake handle, the light went off. What could be wrong? Besides wired to hand emergency brake, what else is this brake light signal wired to?

BTW, ABS is normal. It went through the self check and went off by it self.

Thanks for your help.

Have you checked the fluid in the Master Cylinder?

It's close to min level. Thanks for your reminder. I guess I need to top it off.

That's correct. As you drive around the fluid in the resevoir sloshes around and the sensor will read that it has dropped below the minimum level. This will set off the brake light.

The brake fluid light was on my Gen1 when after I did a bleed on brakes. I thought I had enough (It was between the 'min' and 'max'), but I had to top it off right at 'max' to get that light to turn off.
