Are these a good deal ? Looking to upgrade but not really interested in lowering the car but if it helps I guess it's OK . Just a road car guys , I'm not looking to set it up for racing , just want a nice ride and good handling

i personally dont like the gr2s but thats because i like a stiff ride and although stiffer then stock there pretty close to OEM IMO. the springs are pretty good from what i hear, there are a few gen3 people who own them and have liked them.

Seems like everyone who gets the KYB's in the Gen3 always regret buying them because they expected more performance out of them and say they should've gotten the Tokico's. That's just what I've noticed over the years.

I guess Ill go for the GR-2s then...because I DONT want a stiff ride. I want a smoother than OEM ride.

I personally like GR2's myself, but I wouldn't call it "OEM ride"...but it is pretty smooth! They certainly impoved the handling of the Coupe.

Sometimes a lil stiffer ride will actually be smoother depending in certain roads. Well maybe that's me cause I feel less comfortable when the stock ride is floating everywhere *YUCK* some of my friends agreed on this too.

You know what's funny people who get tokicos love it at first and then wish they got threaded coilovers but give it time then when they have the coilovers then they can't handle it or there woman has a say in the matter haha...

If your woman owns you then just buy tokicos or MAN UP!!!

I'm not looking for a "stiff " ride , more of a nice firm ride that's close to OEM .
Now with these springs dropping the suspension an 1 1/2" I guess a front and rear alignment would be required as well . I'm wondering what the advantage is to lowering the car that small amount . I't's probably hardly noticable or is it ? I'm just running the stock rims and caps , nothing fancy here

Well if that's a 1 1/2" drop it's noticable . What are the other advantages to it though ?

If I remember correctly its 1.25 rear and 1.3 front I think??

The advantages? Looks a hell of alot better!! Esp with the larger rims. I still have my smooth ride, handling improved, less floaty, less lean in the corners....but then I added a TRD/RSB, and that addition made it "Miata" like, sticks like glue in the turns now. But still rides nice! I have a sports car!!

Those pic are when it was first dropped...u can see in my sig, it got lower as the springs settled.

Well that kit on ebay would probably work for me and give me a bit firmer but still close to OEM ride with improved handelling . Don't know if I'll go the cost for fancy wheels and the like , just put some new Michelin's on it . It's just going to be a good car to use for transportation is the way I'll be using it .

If I'm going to spend on anything extra it will be a better sound system

now -stock- spring source in PA

this is for a 95 4cyl Wagon this is the response on prices I got from the dealer Stengel for Union Springs the links to the vendor and spring co catalog are included
Peter

so the 19161 rears $103.21 per pair (cargo coil) plus shipping

and the 20246 front $69.95 per pair plus shipping - not sure if the 20240 would work (it may set the vehicle up too high)

Both are in stock and ready to ship. Sorry, there is no listing for struts made for towing.
