Urgent help needed! Axil or steel wheel damaged?

Hey guys, i won't bore you and give you alot of detail.

This is what happened. I was on the high way, then i realised i should take a right to enter a service road. I was a bit too late, so i filtered the right pretty fast took down the road sign and broke a few bricks. So the car basicaly flew over the pavement. As usual, i don't mean to brag. Nothing happened to the bumper what so ever and nothing happened to me. I wasn't surprised that nothing happened to the bumper. I know what my car is made off. The cops come, fix the road side and tell me to leave and not worry about any mancipality costs. I get in the car and start driving, all of a sudden my steering wheel starts move left and right quiet fast the more i accelerate. I still have control on the car, but the steering wheel is wobbling left and right when i left go of it. So i decide to take it to one of those service stops where i can see the car the beneath. I take a look at it and i don't see any visible damage. I get back up and i realise the steel wheel or wheel watever u wanna call it is bent.

Would the bent steel wheel be causing the steering wheel to act like that? or im looking into alot more problems that might not be visible?

please help me! i wanna know if i will be looking at 200 bucks worth of damanage or 500$ plus.

I don't know for sure, so don't quote me, but I do believe that a severely bent wheel will cause the steering wheel to shake. Possibly try putting your spare tire on and go for a drive and see if it still shakes.

Yes a bent rim can cause that. Put the spare on until you can get it replaced.

Definately a bent rim. you might have damanged/mis-aligned your suspension too, so get that checked out as well.

Thanks to the 3 Camrians who have replied. I just replaced the tyre and problem solved!! But the alignment got a bit messed up. Don't matter anyway. Im taking in the car this week for a full check up and replacement of many parts which might cost me 500$+. I'll be praying to god nothing happens until then. Can't wait to bring it back to as "minty" of a condition as possible. I love you camry and im not ready to let go yet. Not for atleast 30,000 miles.

A bent rim will not throw off your alignment, only cause a shimmy in the steeringwheel or a tire pull

The bent rim might not cause the mis-alignment...but whatever CAUSED the bent rim is probably what caused the mis-alignment.

A new steel rim from the dealership should cost around $60. Add $20 for mounting the tire on it with stems / balancing. Add $60 for a front-end alignment. You'd be looking in the neighborhood of US$150 if you were in the US and assuming you don't need a new tire.

Of course, I have no idea what the going rates are in UAE. During that checkup you were talking about, they'll figure out what was wrong - hopefully it's just the wheel.

Your supposed to ge an alignment every once on a while anyway, so that is nothing to worry about. It;s normal. My alignment is out of wack from the craooy roads here.

But as someone else state, make sure to have the rest of the suspension looked over to make SURE nothing was bent, before you get an alignment.
