I'm back! Well, my car is anyways

A few weeks ago, my car came down with a blown head gasket. Seems like a lot of ppl are blowing their head gaskets lately, but anyways.... My mom fixed the car without me knowing and she called me yesterday when I was at school to go pick up the car.

I'm happy that my car is back, but for some reason it just doesn't feel the same mentally. I'm being so paranoid about it breaking down again when I drive. It doesn't seem to be running as smooth as before either.
Everytime I start it, I need to crank longer for it to start.
The car is vibrating more.
Idles funny.
And generally feels like its lacking power. The tach is still sweeping really quickly like before, but it just doesn't seem to be as powerful as before.
It sounds funny sometimes too.
And it chokes when its cold....

Oh and I'm going back to stock(not that I have much on the car anyways), but my mom said she is selling the car.... I dunno if that's a good or a bad thing.

I don't have anything in mind, but my mom has firmly said we are going to get a new car. No more used cars in this family

Mom wants to pick up a 07 Corolla before the year ends because its going to be cheap. I don't really want one though. The Gen 9 Corolla isn't that great, the IZZy engine isn't that refined and the 2NZ is suppose to be loads and leaps better

The CAD is very high right now(worth more than USD) but car prices haven't adjusted yet. I want to wait till it adjusts before getting a new car. I'm hoping I can pick up a new Matrix/Corolla XRS for 25k or perhaps the new up coming Ralliart Lancer for around the same price. OR if the Camry SE V6 drops below 40k....
