3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I've arranged storage, as I have no place to park it right now, the wife has given approval, (more or less) and I've spoken with Bird about how to get it to Richmond. Hopefully I'll have possession soon!
I plan on it being the sons first car, but I have have 2 1/2 yrs to change my mind on that one tho
I hope to restore it to perfect condition. Bird and I had a long conversation concerning it imperfections, and there isn't many at all.
Just thinking about what to do to it right now, but maybe I'll return the headlights, grille, and signals back to stock/or clears..(Virginia inspection concern), putting the black panel on it instead of the sceptor one (if bird doesn't sell it) Gotta remove the darker tint (VA) Total repaint, original color....Damn I can't wait to get my hands on it!.....Daddys got a new toy!!
Of course I cant neglect #1, my 96!
Opinions please! What would u do, if u bought it? Other than drive it of course!!.. Would u change it? Its fine as is, but I just gotta make it better!
It'll not be driven much. It'll be stored at my mechanics shop, and he'll do most of the major work it needs, but I'll have a garage to do things I'm comforable with on weekends.....I guess I need Adam down here!!!
Thank YOU BIGBIRD, but get some time off soon!!

Joe, let me know of any parts needed for it. Most of the work it needs I can do for ya. I'm planning to come down in the end of Nov for 2-3 days, so let me know. I can spend 1 day with you for work.

congrats on a great buy! honestly if I got it I would repaint it, maybe change the front grill to black but the rest I would most likely leave. It sucks that you have to take off the tints but I understand it can be a hassle if you ever get caught but other than that maybe a lip spoiler, there really isnt anything else i would want to change.... except.... SUPERCHARGE THAT
Virginia tint laws suck..I'm illegal with 35 on the 96!...haven't been stopped for it yet!
I'll keep a look out for another lip spoiler, but the Saturn one thats on it looks unique! I like it..First I'll get all the little things fixed, then save for the paint. I'll have Ronnie my mechanic go over it good, check it for codes and such! I found a grill at the Pick and Pull today, but it was busted in half, by some asshole trying to get the motor out of the car!
Also found a broken v6 center console, that I need!
I hate it when people destroy good parts, to get to what their looking for!
