3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Its pretty much official now, sold my car already. I still have the car for another week or two due to needing to settle an insurance claim (100% not my fault) and getting the damage repaired (paint off driver's door, paint and pushed in driver's side front fender).
Yes everything is coming off the car, the IS rims and Whiteline rear sway will be coming off when the car goes in for the final repairs and touch up before handing it over.
If you are interested, the car was sold for $4000 CAD, could have been more but it was sold to a family friend so we sold it below market value. What's replacing it? We already have a 03 Highlander V6 AWD in our sights. I don't really want a Highlander, but mom wants it and at least its still in the Toyota family. The Highlander won't be mine either since my mom is selling my dad's Caravan and he's gonna be driving the Highlander once the van is gone.
Last "glory" shot of the car before the multiple accidents and blown head gasket descended on the car. I drove the car for 1 month total at most in the last 3 months.

I'm gonna miss it the day it leaves. It hasn't been exactly nice to me, but I have been through a lot with it. I also love it a lot. Beating a M3 and a Miata with it @ autocross means a lot.
You vultures really are something... You guys do realize I'm hella far away and shipping is a bitch for you. I have a local deal pending for both those things already, if it falls through I'll advertise here and see if anyone wants them.
It was a V6 , and it was one fast car, for a 14 yr old sedan anyways. The exterior was in average condition, lots of scratches and swirls. I removed half of it with polish and scratchX, the other half remained stubborn and stayed no matter what I did. The IS rims looks nice, but they are heavy and it did have a negative effect on acceleration and braking.
I dunno whether the Highlander is coming with a 1MZ or 3MZ, at least its not a 2AZ . My mom has to approve it when I buy a car even if its my money. With the "mom" factor in mind, and the age of the car, I doubt I'll be getting another Gen 3.
damn evo, after all you;ve been through in dat car, honestly i wouldnt have it go...hopefully you find another just like it with better mileage and its a v6 94autocam

I'll still stick around since my temporary ride will still be a Toyota, albeit its tall and has AWD. I don't have much knowledge to sell though, I'm usually asking for help more than giving it.
Hey i've learned alot by asking questions here, there is always a new person coming in to the forums also opinions are always needs...look at geoff had a gen 3 bout a gen 6 (i think that was it is '07+) he always comes back and places his opinions in a thread

Car is in the garage getting the damage repaired as we speak. Everything is coming off at the same time too. I guess I'll post some pics when the car is completely back to stock. I think I'll have the car for a day or two after since I need to transfer the insurance.
