yeah, as many of you know ... my threads keep getting deleted ... basically - opinions on tire chirping with a 5SFE .... what the deuce?
backstory:
took my car out for some fun this week, and noticed that in the 50* weather i can chirp tires upon every single launch!
why is this weird?
- i have a 5SFE ... its weak
- i have an automatic tranny ... not known for incredible launches
- i have new tires that have great traction and were at ~35psi (max 40)
the only reasons i can see this happening are:
1) more power .... which cant be the case because im not magical
2) bad transmission / hard shifts .... not likely as its not giving me any problems
3) hallucinations ... i havent been taking any shrooms, so i dont think this is it either
discuss

And who really cares if your tires chirped? Do you want some kind of prize?
Dude...he's trying to find out what could be causing this. Why post something completely worthless and arrogant?! Maybe YOU should be banned?!
@venom....How new are the tires? And what kind are they? What is the hardness of the tire? If it's a harder tire, it won't grip as good....but it will last longer. Softer tires will grip better...but wont last as long.

what kind of pavement were you on? its very easy to spin on blacktop vs normal cement. otherwise its the colder weather, car performs better, tires are colder which = less grip.
I have the 5SFE and I can chirp on smooth surfaces when accelerating heavily on an incline, while turning, or on paint like what everyone said above. I have Yokohama tires but I don't know if they're hard or soft, most likely soft...Maybe my intake and exhaust gave me +50HP.
