removing butt ugly trim package

anyone got a good (simple, clean, easy, pain free, non death fume causing, etc etc) way to remove the goofy interior "wood" trim? im thinking this is a stock option that was put on and its well past its prime and ready to be replaced with an aluminum set or whatever, just gotta get rid of it first without killing the trim pieces under it... any help would be greatly apprecieated...

I removed the OEM wood dash from my 96 Coupe! Used a hair dryer to remove the trim, and then, heated the left over adhesive, and rubbed it off with my fingers....of course I had my Mechanix gloves on, cause that shit get some kinda of hot!
