Disassembling a headlight, can you do it?

Well, I ordered a used headlight off of eBay that was supposedly in good condition. When it got to me one of the mounting flanges had broken off (presumably in shipping but who knows), the up/down adjustment is broken and someone mounted the bulb retainer on with different screws and cracked the reflector housing (I hope it is salvageable). I should have asked the guy if he tested it but he probably would have said yes anyway. Arrgggg.

So now the question, can anyone tell me how to separate the reflector & lens assembly from the mounting bracket? I am pretty sure that I have figured out the two adjustment mechanisms but there is a pivot arm/bracket that is all but inaccessible. It looks like you have to snake a wrench in there and turn it about 1/8 turn at a time. Is there an easier way (other than buying yet another headlight)?

I realize that this is weird but I've already spent the money for shipping (the seller agreed to refund my payment but not the shipping) and I hate to just throw that awayif I can combine my old light with this one.

Thanks,
Kep

PS- Does anyone know if there is a way to show more titles per page when you do a search?

Search has a time filter, change that

Heat gun usually makes things easier, but the oven method (heat oven to 300 and shut off, put whole head lamp inside, and check every 5 min. method is OK.

I would negetive feedback, and call up the Credit card or File Paypal dispute.

Thanks for the thought. However, I am trying to get the reflector & lens unit out of the frame that mounts to the car, not the lens off of the reflector. The frame that I am talking about is the black plastic unit that has the adjustment screws and is the part that you screw onto the car. I do appreciate your reply though.

I don't want to ding the guy too badly, he did pay $23 shipping and kept to his promoted rate of $15 so he didn't seem out to screw me. I think he is just inexperienced. Hopefully, he'll be more careful next time.

The adjustment screws are on a ball end, into a cup type nylon insert. The ball ends pop out with prying.
