Rear speaker mounting bolts

I currently have after market 6x9 speakers in my rear deck and have just gotten mounting adapters from ebay to mount them properly, but I no long seem to have the original bolts that mounted the stock speakers to the rear deck and I need them. Does anyone know the bolt size (as far as threads) for these so that I can buy them? Thanks.

The best thing to do is go to your local Toyota dealership and special order the bolts if you want exact fitment. It'll be exactly as the original but will cost more than the typical bolts you can get at the hardware store. It shouldn't be more than a dollar-something each. I still have the bolts for my rear 6x9 speakers but I don't know how to determine the thread.

That wouldnt be the 'best' thing to do.

Take the bolt to home depot or lowes. They have a little board mounted in the bolt section so that you can screw your bolt into to find the thread size. Once you know the size...get the length you need. Cheap, easy, fast.

I think the 2 mounting bolts for the third brake light are the same thread pattern. Since you don't have the original speaker bolts anymore, try removing one of the bolts for the third break light, and take that one to home depot to match it.

My bad...for some reason I read that the original bolts werent long enough...not that you no longer had them.

My apologies.

Id check to see if they are the same thread pattern as the third brake light before going through all that trouble. But if they are...thats great.

Thanks for everyones help. I was about to test the brake light bolt, but then found a single bolt in my toolbox that fit, so I used that to size them up. Turns out they are 6mm x 1.0
