I have a 2000 Camry 4-cyl. The airbag light came on a couple of days ago and now flashes constantly. I don't want to bring it to a mechanic until I debug the thing and figure it out. My goal is to fix it myself if possible, but I don't want to buy any parts that I don't need ... you know the drill. I searched all the links on this website and didn't find anything specific to a 2000 camry... HELP!

If you can, pull the code, and let us know what it is. It took me a while to be able to figure out how to get the code on my '96 Camry, but I did. The dealer charges 1 hour labor JUST to read the code.

Not for the SRS system. I learned that one, haha. AutoZone and the rest can only read CEL (MIL) codes. The ABS and SRS Systems are on thier own system, and needs to be done through the Diagnostic port. It's a pain in the ass to do.
