maybe it is a security car alarm. But I do not know how to disable that. The remote control has three button, marked as I ,II and III.
...
Maybe take it to a local dealer and see if they can identify it.
Also, consider a local car alarm installer.
Once you have the alarm identified, you can search on the internet for information.

I suspect that is normal aftermarket alarm behaiviour. When you use the key, the alarm is still live & waiting to detect an intrusion, which it gets. I know on my other car, the only way in is via the remote, unless I lock the car manually & don't set the alarm. Learn it, live with it - at least you know it's working properly. However, do buy a second remote key & spare batteries - I have a spare remote hidden deep within the car, with a key on the chassis, for emergencies.
imma put my idea out on the table. unlock your door with the remote. then try to lock the door with key.

my factory alarm does the same thing. if its locked with the remote, then it has to be unlocked with the remote. if its locked manually, then it can be unlocked either with the remote (though the button has to be pressed twice) or with the key. if i unlock the car with the key after i locked the car with the remote, i think the procedure to turn off the alarm is put the key into the ignition and turn it from "off" to either "acc" or "on" (but not starting the car) several times.
your welcome. then there might be a short somewhere. i did with to mine and it'll lock and unlock without the alarm interfering. is your alarm after market or factory as some had already asked.

My alarm may be a after market car alarm system. My remote control is form the audiovox. And I called their technical support, they said there is a SN on my system behind the dash board. But the only thing I found in the car is a shocksensor from the audiovox and has no SN on it only a model number.
