Yes there's a coolant line on the TB, there might even be two I'm not entirely sure

Yes, there is a coolant line running into the TB. I think it's supposed to help the engine warm up faster in colder climates. If you still want to do the bypass mod, go to any place that sells air tools, and buy a hose repair kit. That ebay thing is basically this...
So, don't waste your money on that ebay "bypass kit", just get a hose repair kit. Remove the 2 coolant lines from the TB, plug the TB coolant ports, and use the hose repair kit to connect the 2 coolant hoses together. simple as that.
I think somebody needs to dyno this. My thought currently is that it's a cool concept, but won't the heat from the motor just reach the TB anyway through the intake metal?
LOL i wasnt going to buy this hell naw, to tell you the truth i didnt kno there was even a cooler line to the TB

One reason was because then it's a lot less hassle to take the TB off since you don't have to worry about leaking coolant everywhere. And also, in theory, it can keep the temperature at the Tb down.
The general idea for the coolant line going there is to help warm up the air charge when it's freezing out. BUT by the same token, some people say that it can also help keep the heat down a bit theoretically when the car is hot and the intake plenum is pretty much burning to touch. But personally, I still think that the coolant temp will always be hotter than the intake plenum temp that will transfer to the TB anyway. But that's also part of the argument for TB spacers- that they keep the TB cooler by separating it from the plenum. But that's a different story.
On the bypass- I've had it for years with no problems. Word has it that it is indeed a good "mod" if you do repeated runs on the track/dyno, etc. since the coolant then does heat up the TB. But in a real-world situation, it's pretty much next to no effect. And on that note, my car hasn't had problems in the cold up here in Toronto either.
As for the actual kit there- waste of money. For a couple of bucks to less than 5, you can pick up a dual male end hose connector and just use that.
