4th Generation FSB advince

Ok so Id like my camry to handle even better and wondering if I should replaced the FSB. I know a bigger bar will make it less likely to oversteer but I figured itd help with body roll plus wheel hop. I've been debating between Whiteline and Addco. Whiteline is 24mm and the Addco is 7/8''. I believe 7/8'' converted to metric is around 22-23 mm, but not 100% certain on this. Anyone able to confirm and would this be better since its a smaller bar and thus less understeer would be in the suspension setup? Also, anyone know the weights of either product. Oh, and I already got a trd rsb bar and am loving it.

I remember Venom telling me that getting a stiffer FSB means understeer, since the front doesnt "dig" into the ground as much. But hey, its your car.

Just keep in mind that stiffer in the front = more understeer

upgrading the FSB is actually not recomended on these cars. it will promote more understeer which camrys have a problem with already.

do u have the V6? there was a groupe buy recently on solaraguy for a torque rod for the tranny which helps with wheel hop and i think asg14 put one on a 4 cyl.

^ doesn't know what he's talking about.

Anyways, FSB will promote understeer, Camry's already have too much of that. Wheel hop you deal with a tighter suspension, bushings, and what not.

FSB's are more for decoration than go on the Camry unless you are really tricked out suspension wise and need the extra stiffness.

^ yes he does

he was saying that the FSB is fine - no need to upgrade it - which is true

if you want less body roll, get an RSB and better struts/springs

that can be taken both ways. the FSB on the camry is pretty good from the factory and there is no need to upgrade.

^^ where is it? I thought the strut bar was supposed to be tied on top of the suspension column?

we're talking about sway bars .... which is under the car

FSB = front sway bar, not to be confused with a FSTB = front strut tower bar

Ahh, my noobness at work. Thanks for the correction

On that note, what effect would a FTSB have on the car?

strut tower bar does little compared to the other suspension mods. the idea is to keep the strut from flexing in the mount durring cornering.
