For mine when they did not work was the relay as mentioned behind the coin box
Blue and cubed -There are three thier so one from the window will work
Give it a pop and switch em out to see if it is or isnt the issue
Warning it is difficult to get any tools in their and difficult to pull a relay that has been in place for many years so be patient but you should not have to remove any of the dash as i didnt and just wiggled her out with a bit of screwdriver force and knuckle grease
Just get on your back on the drivers side floor and look up behind the coin box youll imediatley see the top of the blue relay for the de-fogger ( others are a bit harder to see )
When my windows were not working i changed out the relay from the defogger for use in place of the window one until i could get to the wreckers
All that was wrong with the relay is that the connectivity (continuity ) was extremely weak
The same one used for the window

s is a bit higher in the relay setup so small hands are a benefit to reach it ( i have large hands which made it more difficult )
