3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I have some questions i'll like to ask. I need to know your knowledge, opinions, suggestions, and please dont leave me with my head in the clouds, its been several times that I make a thread and get some answers and then i'll ask one more question and then have my head in the clouds wondering about my question. Anyways back to the thread topic...
Saturday, my foglights were working, but i turned them off since there was no need for them, but one was off, but it normally does that ( a few taps to the lens and it turns on ). Once I got home i decided to turn them back on, to fix the mesedup one, but neither of them turned on. So im thinkking maybe the fuse is gone, but it wasnt becasue i tapped the foglights to the whiperblade FUSE and the wipers are still working till this day. Im thinking the bulbs burned out. But now i dont know what to do?
1)Should i get new foglights: IF so which ones OR
2)Should i get new bulbs?
Im looking to "upgrade" the electrical stuff with the car, I'm going to be buying a ground kit, and I was looking for the spark plug wires for my car but i dont know which ones are the good ones. So my question to you is which one(s) are the best spark plug wires to buy, i tried looking at the sticky thread about the camry FAQs but there was nothing there on spark plug wire.
I also have some more question but they arent coming to me atm, so please give me some advice

By new foglights do u mean oem replacements? If not you will have the hole in your bumper if yours are oem... But if you mean aftermarket Im personally very interested in getting some hid fogs
But the thing is that, while i was driving with them on, one was working fine, where the other was turned off. SO not to looking stupid while driving even though i had them on, i turned it off to fix it when i got home, but then when i got home adn parked the car they didnt work at all, but the fuse isnt burned out, ground most be there since i never had a problem with them before. I have a current tester but im not sure its going to work, also i remembered the other question(s) they are now on the first post.
xet they are aftermarket ones

where did u get the lights? chances are the wiring is bad or the bulbs are gone. chack the wiring first for any shorts. if there are no shorts then its gotta be the bulbs. either replace the bulbs or get new lights. bulbs will of course be cheaper but this may be a chance to upgrade if u wish.
i was thinkin of gettin new foglights since the ones i have are all cracked but which ones will you suggest i should get because the current ones i have on the car dont fit inbetween the gaps on the bumper

well u have 3 choices. get the OEM bumper that has fogs built in, get really thin ones that will fit or do what the guy i bought the car from did and cut out part of the lower grille to make them fit.
Things change over time. If you decide to troubleshoot these check the wire connections (I second checking the ground but check the positive too, just in case...) and clean the scockets (make sure that the power is off) and the bulb bases. If you have decided to replace them you will probably have to remake all of these connections anyway and they will get cleaned.

OEM bumper is not an option since im going ot be buying a body kit soon, um i really dont want to cough up more than $50 on foglights, i did see some 2"/1.25" foglights on ebay will this clear the gap? I'll try to check connections tomorrow if not the lastest will be friday

wait...if ur gonna get a body kit why would u want new fogs now anyways? if the lights are broken rip that crap off and wait till u get the body kit then get a set of lights that will fit in that kit. save ur self 50+ bucks and alot of hassle of buying 2 sets of lights or a set that will look like crap in the kit.
