weird sound

hey i have a 92 camry le sedan and i just noticed that whenever i turn off the car i hear a sound like an alarm clock, it goes for about 5 beeps and then its gone...it does it everytime even if i get out of the car and close the door it will continue to beep 5 times and then it will go away, i can hear it faintly when i close the door..i dont' know what it is..it just started about a week ago...i've had the car for about 8 years and it just started doing this...can someone please help me and tell me what it is...thanks

u dont have a sun roof do ya? that happened on mine when the roof was left open or when i left it cracked after turning the car off. 4 quick beeps in incriments of 5. thats the only thing i could think of unless its the ignition alarm that may be fouled up.

hey thanks bigbird...thats what it was i guess...i just pressed both the sunroof and moonroof button to close and now when i shut the engine off it didn't beep...it was annoying i really appreciate it...thanks again

I have a similar issue and this sounded like the answer, but no luck yet.
92 Camry V6 LE, last few days, whenever I shut off the ignition, I get the alarm clock sound, eight times:
{ beep-beep-beep beep } x 8
I can also make it happen by turning the key to on (not starting engine) and then off.
The moon roof is closed; doors & trunk are closed; it's not the seat belt sound; no lights on dashboard.
It's not the remote as I stopped using it (too annoying). Car is behaving fine otherwise.
Nothing on this in owner's manual.
I'll report back if I find out what's going on.
