anyone heard of the c02 systems?

was looking thru some sites a while back and saw that they are marketing a co2 system, has a bulb in the intake to cool air, or a ring on the intercooler etc, plus the ricer thing of a purge nozzel without having to waste no2...

do they work? well yes, they do cool the air and supply extra O2 molecules to the system

do they boost your engine's performance? well, probably not significantly .... and besides, pressurized CO2 isnt cheap enough to bother with

oh, and purge nozzles are not "ricer" ... they are actually smart .... its the same idea as a wastegate or blow-off valve on a turbocharged system .... you purge the Nitrous out of the system so as not to have build-up of any sort ... that way youre not pouring too much nitrous into your intake lines

in this case it would be ricey just cause its co2 and n o reason to purge as it doesnt go into the engine, it has a bulb that goes in the intake that cools the air, but doesnt introduce the c02 to the intake stream.

course ill prolly add one along with side pipes, cragar s/s rims, and a dixie horn...lol

well if the CO2 isnt being passed thru the system, then its virtually useless - not to mention that im not sure that CO2 would work well as a good Oxygen carrier because i dont think the O2 molecule will break free of the Carbon atom easily

like i said - does it work? yes, but not significant enough to make it worth the cost

its really a gimmick vaguely based off scientific knowledge

pretty sure your right, i know 50 degrees in air temp makes noticeable difference when it the ambient temp, just dont see it working as well, but im hoping to find someone who has tried this just to see what they thought.
