How do I get the trans pump front seal out

Ok so I finally got the old 5sfe eng out and swapped all the stuff over. I resealed the new eng and will put the new flywheel on soon. But I cant get the Trans pump front seal out. First can I just pry it out or do I have to remove the pump and drive it out on the bench. Any help would be appreciated.

Probably you should take a look at the online repair manual section AX ... I4 auto transmission.
There is a note ... 'remove second coast brake piston before removing oil pump'.
See p. 37 ...

... Just looking at the manual here. ...

trnas front pump removal

I got mine out ('94 Camry, 4 cyl, A140E) by putting bolts into the two threaded holes in the front plate and using a puller. The other holes in the plate are not threaded; only two of them have larger threads that the installation bolts do not screw in to.
