the hid kit is crappy and illegal

there is a bunch of projectors you can fit in your headlight. dont always go cheap

check out HIDPLANET.COM
the forum. they also sale stuff
they have TONS of info on hids

also search on here for people who have done this in the pass...

and i recommend not to start the retro until you have all the stuff you need to complete it

DO NOT get that HID kit, expect to pay at least 150 for a good one and dont cheap out on it cuz it will likely bit ya in the ass if ya do. theres even a discounted seller mod express, u can even choose bulb type and color temp.
Mod Express High Quality HID Kits only $140! Mod-Express.com Promo Code: Toynation

get these projecotrs, the first link. since u have 9006 and 9005(high beam) then gettting bi xenon will be usless unless u get a bi-xenon HID kit and redo the headlight harness. u can save alot of time and money but just getting the 9006 kit.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/set-o...em230188408160

since u have a gen3 then u can get the depot clear headlights(also on ebay), definatly better to have thoes with the projectors. if u get d2s(bulb type) projectors then ull have to get d2s bulbs to fit. u still want a 9006 HID kit though.

I agree with others that an HID kit is a bad idea. However when I had my Gen 3 I had an HID kit as well, and this is what it looked like:

you dont. the closest ull get is get depot clears to get rid of all teh ribbing in the lights and get a $50 set of sylvania silverstar ultras(think thats their new ones). and that still a far cry from HID but its brighter and whiter. i personally really like that look to.

Definitely don't get that cheap ass "HID kit". Seriously, you don't want to skimp out on HID kits. As for the retrofit you're going to need to do, I believe there are some writeups somewhere in this forum for a DIY project. I know TonyTheTiger has done the retrofit, as well as a few others.

+1, the cheap kit I bought had many issues, most of the time one of the bulbs wouldnt come on (probably a faulty ballast), and other times I had to flick the switch several times for it to come on. Then I was flashed by other cars every so often.

If you do want a kit, I would highly recommend XenonDepot. They use quality bulbs and ballasts, which also include all the relays you will need.

And you do know it takes a lot of work to retrofit projectors, and wiring it up right? It's not like you can just take A6 projectors and cut a hole in the headlight, then mount it. Besides, i'm sure A6 projectors are crazy expensive, I would go with TSX projectors.

It's possible, but I havent seen any. XenonDepot doesn't sell them on eBay, so the best you can probably do is find a used kit.

If you are retrofitting projectors, then you wouldn't use an HID kit. 9006 is the size for the stock bulb, the projectors from the A6 or similar cars would use a different bulb.
