3rd Generation Two 92 Camry dashboard light

Hi! Today when I started my 92 Camry, I noticed two lights came up on my dashboard, one I know it's the battery light, the other one is orange and it looks like a car with rear lights on.

ok question #1: I checked any lights on the back of my car which all work properly, why does this dash light comes on?

I know the battery light means the battery is not getting an at least 12.5v charging voltage, so it could be the alternator that's bad.
so question #2: How much is the going rate to replace a alternator in an 92 Camry parts + labor in Maryland? approximately.

question #3: what are the other causes for the batter light to come up?

Thank you so much for your help guys.

Battery light nearly always means the Alternator. I'll send this thread to my friend to see if he knows a place in MD for ya.

The Rear Light light means Brake Lights. So you need someone to pusht he brake while you look. Car can be off for that. Donlt forget to see if the 3rd brake light (The one in the window) is working too. It;s often overlooked.

Thank you for your reply.
I actually go to UMBC, which is in Cantonsville. the update on the situation is, I couldn't start the car this morning so I called AAA to replace the battery but then the car won't even crank, so the lady said my starter is bad anyway, glad I can find someone who's close by, what are you guy's rate on replacing the starter + alternator (battery), go easy on a poor student who owes the government an ass load of money?

Honestly, I do not know. He will be able to tell you though. If you are really close to him, he can probably come fix it for you for little money sinc ehe knows how to do it.

Also, go check out the meet section. there is an MD meet next Saturday, the 17th.

I might have to prepare for the worst though so any clue as to where I can get a starter and alternator? time is of essence to me. Also is it possible for you to obtain the parts and we'll work something out? Is it ok for me to get your # through private message so we can discuss the details? thanks buddy. see ya.
