4th Generation Hood Holder Clip

Hi Guys,
Today morning when I was checking something i broke the small plastic clip which hold in place the rod which hold the hood when you open it. It's like a small clip. Where can i get a replacement clip. I fear that while driving the rod might be dislodged.
Thanks

The dealer should stock them for a few bucks.

Although I can't offer a solution, I can say that my Camry has been driven without that clip for a few years now. There haven't been any problems with the rod sliding around or anything of that nature.

i second the not really needing it, or you can always use a 10 cent piece of bubble gum..., or maybe ask the parts store of your choice....

I would just get it at the Toyota dealer. It's only a few dollars, so why even worry about it for that amount of money. Driving without it probably won't harm anything, but it may cause an annoying rattle. Just replace it.

Just an FYI. I used to pack mine in grease so the rod would pop out a bit easier.

Camrys were available with the hood propping rod? I thought that Camrys all had the gas strut to hold it up.

Gen 4.5 uses the strut, Gen 4 uses a rod.
