Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
OK, so I've read about the risks involved in using seafoam, but after much searching and 2-3 hours of reading, I'm still unclear on a couple things.
What exactly does putting the Seafoam in the Brake vacuum hose clean?
Same for gas tank, and throttle body (I have no idea what that is)
My car is racking up 135,000 miles now, we've always taken the car to a mechanic who inspects it for us every couple oil change (we do it every 3,000 miles)
I've also read about needing to change the oil and spark plug (my car is due for a oil change in a couple weeks).
Would it be safe to seafoam it? And for the gas tank part, do you just pour it into the gas tank?
putting it through the vacuum hose cleans out the carbon build up, gives smoother idle, cures hesitations and pings, cleans intake valve and piston, cleans catalytic converter odors, restore power and pick up. as for gas tank, it help clean the fuel injectors, cleans carbon as you drive, lubricates upper cylinders, de-ice and remove moistures from gas, stabilizes fuel. and yeah for the gas tank just dump it in there. you can also put it in the crank case (where you pour the oil) to help free sticky lifters, cleans dry parts, remove moisture, increase RPM vacuum and compression, cleans PCV valve system.
thats what it said on the bottle.

Just for grins, I thought that I'd point out that I prefer to go into the brake booster vacuum line downstream of the check valve to add Seafoam. I've put a green square around the junction where I add the Seafoam. I put a yellow circle around the check valve that I am avoiding. Seafoam probably won't hurt the check valve but I read on one of the posts that it was a concern so that's why I choose to tap in further down line.
