Where is the hole in the firewall?

Hey,

Tomorrow I'm going to be installing my new amp and sub, but I can't seem to locate the hole in the firewall to pass my power wire to the battery. I figure its somewhere on the driver side but I can't find it, does anybody know where it is?

This is on a gen 3 camry.

it should be over the gas pedal, its hard to see since it is sealed with a rubber groment so use a flashlight.

So just above the gas pedal, how do you recommend running it towards the back? like under the plastic clips near the door?

How does all that side paneling come off, the cover that runs along each side of the car that i'm supposed to put my wires in.

it'll pop up.. what gauge wires are you using?

Remove driver side front wheel and the plastic liner in the wheel well. You should see a rubber thing with a big bundle of wires running through it.

the wheel and splash guard cover if you go through that way. I just punctured through the rubber grommet housing the steering rack just dont get too close to it and it did make interior noise a tiny bit louder its up to u

Yep I drilled a hole in my firewall rather than deal with all that wheel business... then again I had to run 2 0 guage wires through there too =/

I found the hole above the gas pedal. It had a rubber gromet thing so I just cut it a little bit and forced the wire through. It was really hard to do seeing that its so far up there but I finally got it. For once I was wishing I was a midget... lol

next time try the coat hanger trick, made it a ton easier

Funny you say that because I actually did use a coat hanger to guide it through lol

really? When i did it with my 4 gauge it wasnt too bad just had to make sure to bend it how i wanted it to feed beforehand
