3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
The Camry is a car that I can rip out someone's pride, stab it, beat it, and completely bash their egos, and it's so ridiculous that the person comes back with a hysterical laugh... ROFL They got trainlengthed by a Camry that in their mind, was a 18 sec car.

Look around where the power antenna motor mounts. Just remove the carpet panels on the side of the trunk. You should be able to use the antenna bracket for a ground point.

unless he has a Gen 4. they don't even have antennas

HUH? My car has a power antenna and it's not a Gen 4... And on my setup, I found a spot just to the left of the pass through under that black plastic cover. Was just a hole in the metal that I sanded the paint off of and put a bolt through. Seems to be working just fine.

He meant Gen 4 and newer doesn't have power antenna. They all have a printed antenna on the glass except for some Gen 4 CE that have a fixed antenna.
I used the bolt that holds the back side cushion down. This is the part of the seat back next to the portion that folds down.

Outstanding advice! I drilled my own hole on the driver's side in the little pocket to the left. I sanded to bare metal the area around the hole that makes contact to the wire terminal/bolt/washer. I sealed the backside with RTV and I painted the terminal bolt all to prevent corrosion. It is out of sight so it didn't have to look pretty, but I didn't want the body to rot away either.

I'm the biggest boss thatchu seen thus far! Baby, that's muh wi'zzard!
I don't really want to drill a new hole, is there anything near the rear seats that I could sand down and use? It has to be fairly close to the deepest part of the trunk (back of rear seats)

I found this great spot under the back seat, I sanded it down and attached my wire and wire holder, do you guys think it's going to work?
Sorry for shitty pics, its from my phone...
It's a perfect spot because I'm mounting the amp on my back seats...Only thing that worries me is that theres probably a little bit of paint under that black clamp thing...I looked in the screw hole tho and its all bare metal so it makes contact there for sure...
What do you guys think?

not a bad place.. but if you can get a better metal to metal contact, the better your ground will be.

i second the "sand and drill your own hole" option. thats what i always do so the ground has a short wire and there is a great contact for the ground.
the seat bracket may work okay, but the path for the ground would then have to travel through the seat bracket and bolt. if you sandwiched with wire between the body and the seat bracket it will fan out the wire and crush it.
