Replace Fuel Filter?

Hello,

I've been looking through the 98 Toyota Camry 4 cyl service manual and see no indication of when the fuel filter needs to be replaced? How often do you guys replace your fuel filter? I know most vehicles recommend 30k-60k intervals if the filter isn't inside the tank. Where is the filter located in the camry 4 cyl?...under the hood?

Thanks

These were famous for the threads to become seized about halfway out on the bottom line. If you feel it getting real tight coming out then just screw it back in and take it to the dealer for replacement otherwise you will work hours and still may not get it installed or have a gas leak . you also need to use a 14 mm tubing wrench..

I've changed the fuel filter three times on a 1990 Camry with 350000 miles on it. Not once did the filter need to be changed but I figured that since I had it off, just put on a new one.
