3rd Generation Greetings

Hi I'm new to this forum so hello!!! I joined this forum looking for some asnwers for questions concerning a planned project. NOw i've done searches on here and google and found some interesting faqs. Well lets get to the point. I'm plannig on doing a auto to manual swap. I'm planning on using an e153 but thats too much work considering some of the custome machine frab. I heard that an E52 came with the camry v6, so can I use that transmission and use my current cv axle? Also, would the e52 would just bolt on and require no welding or machining modications? and can I use the shifter and clutch pedal from a 90 celica?

EDIT: when I siad maching and welding I meant maching or welding additional mounting brakets on the chassis

Thnx in advance
Jimmy

also the e153 tranny is alot better....you just need the jack shaft from a 3vz aswell as cables shifter flywheel clutch master and slave and you can use you auto axles to mount to the tranny...............

2wicked the link you gave me doesn't seem to work. I found a link here http://www.mr2mk1club.com/V6MR2.html its pretty good but some of the steps involve some custom fabrication. I want to do as little custom work as possible b/c of time limit......

first...you really have to post what car you have and what engine...

otherwise, I'm tempted to say that the celica pedals will work, cuz maybe you have a celica and you just dropped into the camry forum by accident

but in all seriousness, post your info

as for swap info, take a look at the thread that I made after my swap
First EVER Gen 3 Supercharged V6 5-Speed!! (Swap Hints and Tips) 56K = No go.

as for what 2wickedtoyz was talking about in terms of the axles, it applies differently depending on what tranny you get your e153 from. it seems that you can reuse your auto driver's side axle and just get a passenger's side half-shaft from a 5-speed if you get it from a 3vz

but if you go with a solara/camry gen4 e153, you'll need specific 5-speed axles for both sides to fit into the differential

my bad about not providing any info on my car
here it is
92 carmy le V6 (3vz-fe) Auto.

So the camry 3vzfe did come with an e135 transmission? Do you think it will be hard to find one on a 3vz?

And eye8 thats a nice write up. This will help me in my prcoess of my project.
