nitrous and kick down cable

These are the facts:

I just adjusted my kickdown cable and throttle cable.
I have a 100 shot of nitrous.
It only activates at WOT after 3000 rpm.

I launched off the line, nitrous activates, this is the part where its hazy, I'm not sure if it downshifted first then I had nitrous back fire or if it was at high gear then I had nitrous back fire, either way I had to get a new MAF. Can anyone tell me if adjusting the kickdown cable would have an affect even if it wasn't affecting WOT?

I have no idea about nitrous....never would have even imagined someone puttin it in there.

actually several people on toyotanation have nitrous in their camrys, so anyone with knowledgable info hook me up.
