hood strut question

what excatly are they? aka were my hood is off or something and dosent close all the way any ideas tips input is weclome thanks all and happy turnkey day

Hood strut is basically a gas shock that holds your hood up.

I would think that a more likely reason could be from the rubber twist bushings on the front of your engine bay that are used to quell the vibrations from the engine running, try to turn them a few turns down and see what results you get.
