3rd Generation I need some help.

Well, I got a 2.5" in muffler that got put on wrong, so I'm going to have to go back to get it re put back on, so I was thinking should I just custom my whole exhaust 2.5" while I'm there? This were the parts I'm thinking (Excuse my cheapness I'm on a budget) resonator CAT and my muffler that I have. I have a v4 but I plan on getting a v6 put in when I get the money. And I can just reuse my 2.5" exhaust when I get the v6. But for now will I see any difference in sound or speed? I know only top end will be effected but will the sound of my car change?

Thanks for the help TN

most likely yea the sound will change. You won't get much of a diff in performance, but you still get something. And yea you can reuse it when you get the V6 all you need is a y-pipe when you get the v6 tho

No you don't. V is a V-shaped block, equal number of cylinders each side. You have an I4 (for inline), 4 cyls following each other down the block.

LOL V4's rock. You're really not going to get jack out of a 2.5" exhaust on the 5SFE, but if that's what you really want to do then go for it. I'm just curious how you can fuck up a muffler install? Not a lot can really go wrong unless they did a bad welding job or installed the muffler backwards.

Honestly, a 2.5" exhaust with a hi-flow cat/resonator/muffler on the I4 is going to sound really raspy and ricey IMO.

But why? I'm going to get a v6 soon and I wouldn't have to redo everything.
