3rd Generation Power Steering Leak

Hello all,
I have looked through the forums so I hope I'm not posting the same question. I couldn't find any specific symptoms related in other threads. I have a 93 Camry V6, I have been having problems with power steering fluid leaking. It doesn't leak when the car is parked or sitting for a long period of time however when driven, the power steering fluid drops drastically. I have had it in 4 different mechanics shops, all attempted a pump replacement, luckily under pump warranty, and no success. I have been told that the system runs in conjunction with the coolant system. If this is incorrect let me know and any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

it could be a high pressure hose. i find it difficult to accept that 4 different mechanics have been unable to find the problem, though.

all you need to do is dregrease the affected area so that it is completely dry and clean. then start the engine and turn the wheel from lock to lock. that's usually enough to find the source of the leak.

Some older cars had hydraulic operated radiator cooling fans, see if you have one. If so, the PS pump also runs the motor for this fan.

If the leak is only when the engine is on it is coming from a hose or device that is under fluid pressure. Place some cardboard under the car with engine running and see where the drip lands, then find the location on the car. Could be the pump, hoses, PS actuator, rack seals, etc.
