I finally installed the Mod-Express kit and question.
it was pretty easy to install, but i have a question. I got 8000k bulbs and they look diamond white. i thought 8000k's looked blueish. i wanted a blue look. maybe i did a mistake during the installation? has this happened to anyone else with mod-express kits?
Sometimes they send out the wrong bulbs. PM mod-express. Know anybody that has a kit you can compare to? I have 6k and they look awesome, I don't think anyone should go higher than 6k though.
I have a gen4 and just got the kit (H4-L) about two weeks ago. Wired up everything and turned the lights on, and it was yellow. Found out it was the halogen high beam thats running on low beam. Rewired the 3 prongs connectors and then got the HID low beam working but the halogen high beam doesn't work anymore. So far I've been in contact with the mod-express guy here for about a week now and I THINK he's sending me new bulbs and I'll send back the ones I currently have....but I'm not sure..he hasn't replied me yet....
it says to leave the lights on for 10 minutes when you first install them without interruption to allow them to burn to the proper temperature.. i turned them off by mistake within the first 3 or 4 minutes but then quickly turned them back on. could this be the cause?
Leave them on for a few minutes to warm up. If they are still white just email him and send them back for an exchange.

i've read that the actual color of 8000k vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.. is it possible that Mod-Express' 8000k is actually a diamond white?
quote form their website:
"The unit of the brightness is lumen, the color of 4300K is bright and yellow, and 5000K is natural sunshine, 6000K is bright and blue, 8000K is light blue, 10000K is blue, 12000K is dark blue. However, the higher the color temperature, the lower the lumen, and the penetration of the fog and raining would be worse. So it is common that the penetration of 6000K is better than 8000K. The best color temperature for driving is 4300K-8000K."
if this is the case.. i should get replacement 10000k bulbs, because these 8000k's look pure white to me.
can any mod-express users comment on this before i tell them to send me 10000k bulbs?

well did u order 8000k, cuz they are supposed to be bluish, 10000k are gonne be blue purple and have a poorer light output. i dont really see the point of HIDs over 8000k, unless ur just in it for the color.
