Engine and fuel milage question from Calif.

Can some one tell me if the 4 cylinder engines on 1999 - 2001 Camrys are the same exact engine? And what kind of fuel mileage should I expect to get for those year models. I am in the market for a used Camry and this info would help me out greatly.

My 96 5sfe can get 33mpg on long road trips with cruise control on @ 70mph. Around 25mpg city. If my 96 5sfe (with 124,6xx miles) can do that, a 1999 or newer should be able to do the same or better.

Mixed mileage with a normal foot (usually 3-4k rpm under acceleration, 5-6k to freeway speeds), 50-50 Freeway/City (time, not distance)

I get about 24-26 mpg, 1996 2.2

The engines are the same (5S-FE). I get 25-26 MPG around town. On long trips, I can get 30 MPG. Best tank was 33 MPG.
