Where is it located, it looks like it goes somewhere close to the air filter? Look on the diagram under the hood at the schematic and it should have it labeled as to what it is.

it cant be the idle air switch...it aint on the throttle body...methinks it could be a vacuum solenoid...looks alil like the one on my towncar

dont know the name, know it plugs into the airbox on my 97 so id assume its a gen 4... i dont remember how i handled mine but if im right i can take a pic tomorrow.

its a gen4 5s-fe, i was installing a injen intake and the manual just says "obd connects..."

+1 on the Intake Air Temperature sensor. If it attaches to the air box, this makes sense. The vacuum hose is constantly drawing a sample of air (the outside air being delivered to the engine) into the temperature sensor and it has a plug to send the ambient temperature data to the ECU.

It can't be the temp. sensor. The temp sensor is the sensor to the right of what he is pointing at.
