My dad's gen 4 (LE I4) came from the factory with heated mirrors, which I didn't know until I took apart one door and try to figure out the wiring to put that in. Go figure.

Seriously I'd think that the said heated power mirror will have two additional wires and a different plug. The extra wires would need to be wired to your defroster switch, so the element heats up with your defroster.

Download the manual from camrymanuals.com and the wiring diagram will tell you how to hook it up. Good luck. Junkyard is your friend.

3rd Generation

I wish the gen 4's did fit the 3 and 3.5's but they do not. The es300's do not fit either.

There is a solution. www.auto-glass.com has generic elements.

I bought two and will post when I do the deed (with pictures).

The mirror heating element is fed from the 'Integration Relay' which gets triggered from rear window defrost.

You can just get a switched power source like cigarette lighter, tap into it with a fuse, add a relay and use the rear window defrost as trigger to power the mirror heating element.
