Question Can I Get a Sunglass Holder to Replace the Garage Door Opener Pocket?

I'd like to store my sunglasses in the little holder, above the windshield, where the garage-door opener is usually kept.

I seem to remember seeing one of these doors on another Camry some time ago (my car is in my signature).

Does anyone have any idea where I could find something like this?

TIA!

they definitely made one- in my solara owner's manual it said it would be in the glove box, but mine wasnt there. I ordered one to make a mount for my SAFC from the dealer, so theyre still available there as well. good luck!

My 98 Camry came with both when delivered new from the dealer. There should have been a little black box with the sunglass holder in the glove box when the car was delivered. The item on ebay is of the whole assembly, not just the replaceable holder.

Got one at the junkyard that matches the color of my interior....ten bucks.

I was pretty happy until I just saw this:

It's the same one I got at the junkyard, except the eBay one is brand new. And only five bucks.

I tried removing the garage door remote holder but I broke one of the hinges that holds it in place. Is there a certain way to get it out? I tried squeezing the sides together and when I pulled the left side out, the left hinge snapped off.

But you didn't have to wait for it. That's probably worth a buck.

Mike,

True. The one on eBay is brand-new, however, and has instructions on the box how to put it on. It wasn't too hard, though. The one I got at the junkyard was a little dirty.
