99 Camry air bag light.

It has happened to me three different time,each on a different month. I have a 99 camry ce, 5sfe, auto, 145,345 miles, and is very well maintained. The light came on yesterday and stayed on for about a 1.5 hrs. I have read all the other threads about their airbags problems but my light does not stay on all the time. Once restart my car it goes out.
What might be causing this problem?
Is it time for airbags to be maintained?
If yes, Whats the price range?

I have the same problem, when it gets a little cold outside my airbag light goes on when I cold start. But if I turn off my car and turn it on after the engine warms the light usually goes off.

The airbag system has its own computer and troubleshooting system, see if you can readout a code, this will help narrow down the location. For info download the SRS info from the link below.

The airbag maintenance is just a visual inspection.
