On average, an engine will lose 10-15% of its rated hp through a manual transmission, 15-20% through an automatic. So, if the engine is pushing 360hp at the crank, 20% of that is 72hp. Every engine's hp rating is measured at the crank, and that measurement is what the manufacturer says the output is. They don't say what the actual output (wheel hp) is.
That means for people like myself with a 96 5sfe Camry (California emissons), my 125hp(rated) engine with auto trans only puts down 100hp to the ground.
The less weight the engine has to get moving the better. I would do the light weight pullies, or remove the internal balance shaft assembly (about 30 pounds) if I had the time or money. Every little bit helps I say.
