wiring problem gen3

the blue fuse

theres this wire that starts at the POS battery post and goes to the fuse box right next to the battery. the blue fuse. which i believe its the alternator fuse??

anyway. it some how burnt or whatever so i go to a junkyard and pick up a new gray piece thing (*see pic*)

and connected it all back but doesnt start anymore
also my radio doesnt work either

i am a bit puzzled

ANY HELP PLEASE

There is a fusible link between the battery and this fuse (Alt fuse). If nothing works this link may be blown.
